Hello Roger your pages are looking good. Shame all the oval racing sites aren't as good as yours. I'm sorry but I have to say who is that Trevor Cotton idiot ? A whole site about Barry lee, how sad ! He may well "love to hate George Polley" but Barry Lee is nothing but a big poser and George Polley can outdrive him anyday !

Hello Roger, I check your page every now and then to look for F1 pictures. Mike Greenwood's pictures of Wainman's big wing car at Baarlo are beauties (because the car is...). The second photo has extra value, because in the background I recognized my red Edelbrock-cap, red and white T-shirt and the yellow and black coats of my friends hangin' over the railing. Keep up the good work, Max

I race an A grade stockcar here in NZ. Its powered by a 240 ci Forc with around 350 bhp. We like to race with full contact which can make our racing interesting at times. In Febuary this year I raced in a stockcar teams racing event in a team which included former Pom, Paul Perkins. We didn't win the overall event but did make our presence felt. Its interesting to see what you get up to over there. Cheers, Brendan Lucas.

Here are warm words for Brits: Ed Hake e-mailed me with these words about Aubrey "Gov" Leighton --- "Aubrey was a true friend to us Yanks (1960); when we brought in some big V-8's, there was opposition to allowing us to race, but Aubrey stood up publicly and said LET THEM BRING WHAT THEY WILL -- I'LL RACE AGAINST THEM!, and he then made it his job to make us feel welcome and introduced us round the tracks."" It was so good to hear kind words about Britain and goold old Aubrey. I thought old-timers might appreciate hearing this.?

I am an avid race fan and have been to 351 different race tracks in the U.S. (49 different states)as well as Canada and Australia. I'm coming to England from June 26 until July 6, 1999. Can you recommend where I could see a meet possibly on Sunday, June 27 or July 2, 3 or 4th? We will be staying about 150 miles north of London but I am willing to travel to see new race tracks. Thanks for the help. Randy Lewis

Great sight! Makes me home sick for UK racing. I was the USA entrant in the F1 WF at Belle Vue '78 and Covertry '80. I also raced at Northamton, Leicester, Long Eaton, Bradford (remember the big fire?) I was in the super rod WF at Hednesford in '89 and B-wheels also ran a hot rod at Newton Abbot. Anyone have any moldie oldie photos of me? I never tasted better shale or tire rubber than when I was racing in the UK. I'm doing historic sports car racing now. Racing a '59 Royal Enfield powered Berkeley (made in Biggleswade UK) quite a change from the oval machines I used to race. All the best. Jamie USA #99

I'm a follower of dirt track racing here in the U.S. Your F1 and F2 cars are pretty similar to our DIRT modifieds in the respect that they use carbuerated V-8 engines. Actually they're kind of a cross between our mods and our sprint cars. Either way, the pictures you show portray a very exciting racing venue. I'd love to see them in person....

Hello, this is one of mu favorite sites on the net. The reason for my visit ot today is checking out the price of F1's these days as I am looking for a car at a price I can afford. At the moment there are none on the for sales page, so I was wondering if anyone could quote me any prices, it dosen't have to be a competitive car.

Hi, Visiting your pages fetches back many memories. I used to race bangers quite a while back at Arena Essex,Clacton,Thorrington Cross,Harringay,Walthamstow,Lydden hill and even the west country tracks at times. I used to race with a team called Essex Vermin along with my brother John. We had many a good team race. Like the web site. keep the good work up.
